    1. Who is this DIY website for?
    These websites are perfect for entrepreneurs who want a professional website, but do not have thousands of euros to let someone else do it. You get a professional website, which converts and marketing-technically is good, without having to do anything for it. You don't have to have technical knowledge, you just have to fill it out yourself.
    2. Do I have to be technical to work with this?
    No, not at all.You work in a visual builder (in Wordpress) in which you easily adjust texts, colors and images. Think of it as working in Canva, but for your website.

    It is useful if you know how a computer and computer programs work, have feelings and can handle it.

    You can also choose to have the DIY website filled in for a small additional fee. Then you just have to deliver your texts and photos (via the email).
    3. How much time does it take to create my website?
    That depends on you.Some people are live in a week, others take a little more time.You can do it completely at your own pace.
    4. What exactly do I get when I start?
    You will already get a ready-made website with all the important pages already built. In addition, you will get an explanation (video tutorials and documentation) to adapt everything, access to an online group where you can ask questions, a guide with everything you need to think about before you go live and access a folder full of free stock photos, backgrounds, icons and other elements.

    5. Can I change the design to my own style?

    7. Do I need hosting and a domain name?

    8. Can I get my own e-mail address?
    Yes if you close your hosting you can take your own email address. Completely with your domain name, e.g.: olaf@pew-online.nl.
    9. What were the websites built in? Wordpress?
    Yes, the websites are built in Wordpress. WordPress is one of the most widely used systems in the world, and that's not for nothing. The biggest advantage is that your website can grow with you. You can start small with a simple website, but always expand or customize it later without having to start again.

    In addition, WordPress is very user-friendly, allowing you to easily customize texts, images and pages. It is also a flexible system: Whether you want to add a webshop later, a booking system or other functionalities, almost anything is possible.

    You can build anything you want. Even in 10 years. You don't have to make a completely different website.

    In short, WordPress gives you the freedom to let your website grow step by step with your company, without restrictions in the future.
    10. Why is Wordpress better than Squaspace of Wix?
    WordPress offers much more freedom and flexibility than platforms like Squarespace of Wix. Instead of being stuck to standard templates and limitations, a WordPress website can be designed entirely to suit your needs and grow with your company.

    With WordPress you own your website, data and hosting. So you don't depend on one closed platform. You can also pay a larger annual fee at Squarespace of Wix.

    Also in the field of SEO, speed, extensions and customization, the possibilities are almost endless in Wordpress.

    Squarespace and Wix are especially suitable for simple websites, while WordPress is ideal when you want to grow professionally and find a unique look important.
    11. Is this DIY website as good as a custom website?
    It's a different form. A DIY website gives you a strong base and a lot of freedom to customize yourself. If you really want to give something completely unique and out of your hands, then customization is a better choice.
    12. Why are the websites in English? Can I change them to Dutch?
    Sure! I have filled the content of the pages with English texts because people regularly come to me who do not speak Dutch and want a website. This makes this website understandable to everyone.

    You can completely customize the website to English. The program you work in (Wordpress) can also be set in different languages, but is set by default in Dutch.
    13. How's the process going after the application?
    If you have requested a DIY website, you will receive a confirmation, an invoice (for your administration), all instructions for customizing the website and all freebies.

    I will contact you within 1-2 working days after your request to put the website on your domain name. Since it's a technical job, I'll do this for you, then everything's gonna be right. Then you can get right to it.

    Domain name & hosting - Simply arranged

    Before your website can be online, you need two things: a domain name and hosting. You can see hosting as the rent or lease of the piece of land on which your home (your website) is located. Without hosting, your website simply cannot be visible on the internet.

    You can take care of this yourself, of course, but many of my clients like it when this is just taken out of their hands. That's why I offer the possibility to run your hosting and domain name through me.

    I work with a reliable Dutch hosting party that I have been very satisfied with for years. The hosting and your new email address will be set free of charge and your new DIY template will be posted on your website. You don't have to look into how to do that.

    In addition, you get this (forever and free) at the hosting:

    • I make sure your website always works technically well
    • Continue updates of WordPress and plugins are being executed
    • You can send me a message personally if your email is not working or your website is out of the blue

    The costs are: €4.99 per year for the registration of a .nl domain name and €84,- a year for the hosting.
